Emulsifying Wax NF is a nonionic self-emulsifying wax created to meet the standard for self emulsifying waxes monographed in the National Formulary. As such, it can be listed in your ingredient listing as Emulsifying Wax NF. It is mild, provides excellent stability, and is very easy to use. It can be used to make thick or thin emulsions, depending upon the concentration used.

This wax offers not only emulsifying properties but added emolliency, making it an excellent addition to all sorts of conditioning cosmetic formulations. It helps to condition and smooth out hair and skin, making it a great cosmetic ingredient for skincare and hair care and providing a lasting smoothness and shine.

As well as this, emulsifying wax NF also acts as a thickener, making it a wise choice for lotions and creams, especially given its added natural emolliency and conditioning properties. It is incredibly easy to use, gentle and versatile.

USES:
Emulsifying Wax are hydrophilic waxes best suited for viscosity regulation in cosmetic oil / water emulsions. Examples include creams, lotions, body butters, conditioners, face cleansers and baby products.

Its can be used to make thick or thin emulsions, depending upon the concentration used.

In cleansing oils and balms its create products that self-emulsify on contact with water and rinse off the skin well.

In lotions and creams its functions as an all-in-one emulsifier as well as contributing some thickening.

USAGE: 2-25%, usually 3-5% for lotions, 5-10% for creams and 10-15% for thick butters.

Compatibility: It is compatible with most animal, vegetable and mineral waxes and a large variety of natural and synthetic resins.

Precautions:
. Emulsifying Wax. Beads will not totally emulsify or thicken a cream or lotion without a second emulsifier.
• Do not heat Emulsifying Wax O above 80 deg. C or it will not emulsify nor thicken.
• When making the cream or lotion stir while cooling or separation may occur.
. You can not use true wax like beewax, in place of emulsifying wax NF . True waxes are not emulsifiers and will not create emulsion

Packaging: Our waxes are packed in water proof ziplock pouches to avoid spillage.

Recommended Storage: should be stored in cool temperatures away from direct sunlight and moisture in an airtight container.
