Emulsifying Wax BP

Emulsifying Wax BP is a self-emulsifying, non-ionic wax widely used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. It is designed according to British Pharmacopoeia (BP) standards and serves as a key emulsifier in oil-in-water emulsions. Emulsifying Wax BP allows oil and water components to blend smoothly, creating stable and consistent textures in creams, lotions, and ointments. Formulation Tip: Add to the heated oil phase (above 60°C) and blend with water phase for proper emulsification. Cool below 40°C before adding heat-sensitive ingredients.

Applications:

Moisturizing creams, body lotions, medicinal ointments, facial moisturizers, sunscreens, conditioners, and other topical formulations.
