Description
Emulsifying Wax BP is a self-emulsifying, non-ionic wax widely used in pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. It is designed according to British Pharmacopoeia (BP) standards and serves as a key emulsifier in oil-in-water emulsions. Emulsifying Wax BP allows oil and water components to blend smoothly, creating stable and consistent textures in creams, lotions, and ointments. It is especially valued for its reliability, safety, and compatibility with a wide range of ingredients.

Appearance: White to off-white waxy pellets or flakes

Recommended Usage Rate: 2–10%
pH Range: 4.5–8.0
Melting Point: 50–54°C
Formulation Tip: Add to the heated oil phase (above 60°C) and blend with water phase for proper emulsification. Cool below 40°C before adding heat-sensitive ingredients.
Applications:
Moisturizing creams, body lotions, medicinal ointments, facial moisturizers, sunscreens, conditioners, and other topical formulations.
Precautions:
Use within recommended limits. Store in a cool, dry environment away from light and moisture. For external use only.
