Lemon floral water to gently cleanse the skins pores for a healthy glow. Fruiting all year round, the Lemon tree is a small thorny evergreen with oval leaves, irregular branches and fragrant flowers. The green fruits turn yellow as they ripen. A citrus fragrance with clean, fresh, sharp and light top notes with a slightly sweet tinge. Lemon floral water is refreshing without being overpowering.

Common uses / benefits:
Lemon Hydrosol can be used in skin toners, creams, lotions, cleansers and conditioning make-up to promote clear, toned, healthy skin. It may also be used in nail care applications.

Lemon Hydrosol can also be used in sunburn and skin and hair lightening products. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, as well as polyphenols that improve microcirculation.

Lemon Hydrosol is thought to naturally adding astringent properties to handmade cosmetics. With a bright lemon aroma, this hydrosol is a great base for facial sprays and lotions.

Astringent floral water that is refreshing without being overpowering. Lemon floral water blends easily with other floral waters to make a fresh, summer-like perfume.

Skin

Lemon has antimicrobial effects that may help tame the Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, leading to inflammatory acne. When used as a toner, the addition of glycerine will help soften the skin whilst providing the benefits of Lemon.

Mind

Refreshing and uplifting, Lemon floral water has a positive effect on the mind and can help with anxiety and depression.

Aroma

Fresh and uplifting, it blends well with other Floral waters and in product blends to create perfume-like scents.

Precautions when using Lemon Floral Water
Some may experience excessive dryness with Lemon on their skin, and those with sensitive skin may find Lemon a little irritating. Adding Glycerine and/or Bisabolol can help relieve these symptoms or blend with other Floral Waters.

Lemon can be beneficial to clear the complexion on the face, but we wouldn’t advise use on the face if you know you are going to be out in the sun all day.
