Description
Lactic acid is a naturally occurring alpha hydroxy acids (or AHAs) produced by fermentation of sugars. It is the alpha hydroxy acid most frequently used for peel products. Alpha hydroxy acids have been shown to promote smoother, younger looking skin by increasing the rate of cell renewal, improving skin texture and tone.
Lactic Acid is also a natural form of ingredient often used as a milder alternative to glycolic acid in cosmetic formulations. It is often used as a natural pH adjuster in formulations, Produced by the fermentation of carbohydrates, this product does not contain bovine, ovine, or caprine materials of any type.
Lactic acid is also a humectant meaning its chemically attracts water molecules to itself. lactic acid draws moisture you your newly exfoliated skin meaning its not only hydrate dry skin but prevent fine lines and wrinkles from forming.
Lactic acid also increase the penetration of other skincare ingredients making your other skin care products more effective.

Applications:
Peels, creams, lotions, masks, cleansers.
Due to it’s acidity the final product needs to be tested for safe pH. Optimal pH range from: 3.5-5.0
Some over the counter products, after adding lactic acid, will separate as a result of the low pH, and need to be stabilized.
Mixing Method: Add into water phase. Heat Tolerance
Temperature Resistance: Avoid heat above 80C
Precautions: Do not apply Lactic Acid 80% , 85% , 88% , 90% directly onto your skin. It is strongly acidic. This will BURN and cause your skin to blister and peel days later, and prolonged contact can cause permanent damage.
Packaging: Our water/Liquid based ingredients are bottled in plastics to avoid spillage.
Recommended Storage: Our water/Liquid based ingredients should be stored in cool temperatures away from direct sunlight and moisture in an airtight container.
