Description

Organic fractionated coconut oil, also known as medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil, or organic liquid coconut oil, is a light, clear, and odorless oil derived from regular coconut oil through a process called fractionation, which separates specific fatty acids (mainly medium-chain triglycerides) to keep the oil in a liquid state at all temperatures. Unlike virgin coconut oil, it does not solidify in cooler weather and has a longer shelf life.

Fractionated coconiut oil made up primarily of medium-chain triglycerides, caprylic (C8) and capric (C10). Like its name suggests, these triglycerides are fractionated out of organic certified coconut oil. This is a completely saturated oil, making it highly stable and resistant to oxidation.

A gentle, low comedogenic, non-greasy, light weight, emollient and moisturiser to replenish skin’s surface and resist moisture loss. Also functions as a thickener and dispersing agent, making it a great base for massage products, oil blends and oil based perfumes.

Fractionated coconut oil is called “SUPER OIL” because its has a lower molecular weight when compared to other oils and thus, helping it to penetrate deeper into the skin after its applied. It is rich with antifungal, antioxidants, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is excellent for rejuvenating, moisturizing , giving an even smoother skin tone, and also improve shine in hair and get rids of dry scalp.

Fractionated 100% Coconut Organic Oil (Coconut Fractionated) does not go solid at room temperature. This oil stays liquid and clear. It is highly stable and resistant to oxidation for use in creams, lotions, and many other cosmetic preparations for skin and hair. Because it is chemically indifferent to other cosmetic ingredients, it acts as a viscosity regulator and assists in the dispersion of pigments and other additives.

Further, it penetrates the skin readily, thus acting as a carrier for transdermal therapeutic ingredients. This ability to transport Essential Oils and actives makes it an oil of choice among medical practitioners and massage therapists.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

Storage: It is recommended that cold-pressed carrier oils be kept in a cool, dark place to maintain freshness and achieve maximum shelf life. If refrigerated, bring to room temperature before using.
