Broad-Spectrum UV Filter | Water-Soluble Sunscreen Agent
Benzophenone-4 is a water-soluble, broad-spectrum UV absorber, primarily used in personal care products to protect both the skin and formulations from UVB and some UVA radiation. Also known as Sulisobenzone or Sulibenzone, it is especially valuable in aqueous-based sunscreens, shampoos, cleansers, and leave-on treatments, where oil-soluble filters are not ideal.
It also functions as a photostabilizer for colorants and fragrance ingredients, helping prevent UV degradation in cosmetic formulations.
