Description: Apricot cosmetic grade oil is obtained from the kernel of the Apricot tree (Prunus armeniaca) by cold pressing, refining, and standardizing with non-GMO vegetable oils to enhance their oxidation stability. The refining and standardization process helps remove undesirable aroma and color, and helps to enhance the shelf life of the oil. This renders the product suitable for formulating products in the cosmetic industry without interference from odor and color.

It’s a good source of bioactive compounds such as tocopherols and phytosterols. Tocopherols and phytosterols are antioxidant-rich emollients naturally found in vegetables (and in this case, fruit oils) that hydrate, protect the skin against environmental damages (aka free radicals), and keep the skin supple.
