Our organic Aloe Vera Hysrosol is steam distilled from the whole leaf of mature, sun-ripened Aloe barbadensis plants cultivated in India. Considering the impressive list of active properties it contains, this plant is at the forefront of every natural skin care routine. It makes a great facial spray for sensitive and mature skin types. Aloe Vera Hydrosol tightens pores, heals, soothes, and replenishes moisture in the skin.

The Aloe Vera plant, Aloe barbadensis, has been used as a natural skin treatment since ancient times and continues to be a popular choice for healing salves and skin care around the world. It is prized for soothing burns, blisters, and other general skin irritations as well as reducing inflammation and inhibiting fungal activity. Aloe vera is rich in polysaccharides, which is what gives it its healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It makes the perfect ingredient for skin nourishing and healing blends, including hand cleanser, burn and wound care gel, skin-soothing balm, and facial astringent.

These are the most genuine form of hydrosols (obtained by steam distillation of the plant parts): no infusion, no blend of essential oil and water; and no condensed water. These superior quality hydrosols are 3 to 5 times more concentrated when compared to other commercial grade hydrosols available in the market.

Our hydrosols are specifically distilled for the hydrosol, not produced as a by-product or even a co-product. These hydrosols are distilled using fresh plant material allowing us to capture not just all the volatile components of the plant, but more importantly, the cellular water from the living plant. This cellular water is usually lost under the conventional high pressurised steam runs for essential oils, or by using dried plant material. It is this cellular water, imbued with nutritious minerals, phytosterols, antioxidants, and countless other natural botanical chemicals, that imparts the hydrosol with the water-soluble aromatic and therapeutic properties of the plant.
