Zobo drink is made from the dried calyces (the sepals that surround the flower) of the Hibiscus sabdariffa plant, also known as Roselle. These are often referred to as "zobo leaves" or "hibiscus leaves". The calyces are a deep red color and provide the vibrant hue and tart flavor characteristic of zobo.
