Description
Mica powder is a naturally occurring mineral-based pigment widely used in the cosmetics industry for its shimmering, pearlescent effect. It is finely milled into a soft powder that can reflect light, giving products a radiant glow or metallic sheen. Cosmetic-grade mica is purified and processed to ensure safety for skin application.

What it is
Mica is a silicate mineral (muscovite, phlogopite, or synthetic fluorphlogopite) ground into very fine powder. It can be coated with natural oxides (iron oxide, titanium dioxide, chromium oxide, ultramarines) to create a wide range of colors—from subtle shimmer to bold metallics.

• Insoluble in water and oils.
• Dispersible in both (must be well mixed to stay suspended).
